Welcome to The Meaningful Bits of Life! I’m Jen, and I started this blog to create a space that is all about crafting a meaningful life. I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and nutritional therapy practitioner (NTP) student. I explore meaningful living through ideas that are centered around self-care, connecting to others, and connecting to the space around you, and I’ve created this blog for anyone who has ever felt like there’s just got to be more to life.
For me, I know wholeheartedly that it’s the little things that really matter and bring meaning to my life, so this blog is all about those little things that make life meaningful. You see, I’ve spent so much of my life hiding, shying away from showing up and from fostering connections to myself and to others. I grew up learning that it wasn’t safe to trust in others, in the universe, and most definitely not myself, so now, I devote space to cultivating just that. I believe we always do the best we can with what we have, and now that I know life can be different, I have the opportunity to show up differently.
I also believe that we have the power to cultivate meaning in our lives by pausing to notice and appreciate the little things, and by making little changes over time where we would like to find meaning in our lives. Basically, if you love meaning, slowing down, leaning in, and intentionality, we’re going to be fabulous friends.
I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learned in my life with you and learning from you, too, as we connect to grow more meaningful lives together. I’m so glad you stopped by and I look forward to connecting with you soon, dear friend. Until then, take good care of your heart.
